OOTD- co ords and block colour

I visited the art district again in Beijing and I have to say I was really digging my outfit. It wasn’t a co- ord I bought together but the three piece outfit really worked together to make it look like a perfect co- ord.

I have always loved wearing one colour and I think black goes perfectly with my blonde hair colour as it really makes my hair stand out against the block colour, so for me black co- ords have become a staple.

Top- misguided, around £15 but I can’t remember. They don’t sell this anymore but I have found the exact same style but with long sleeves here- Similar top link

Culottes- Boohoo £8 (Culottes Link)

Teaming these one colour pieces with a bright red lip also worked really well. The lipstick easily made the outfit look less casual with really no effort at all. I usually go for brown lipsticks (always) but I’ve been branching out and have been experimenting with reds and I really am quite liking the results. For me orange undertones in the red lipstick work much better than blue tones I really like the bright, orangey effect.

Red lipstick- Mac, Chili £16.50 (Lipstick link)

For me silver jewellery is a must as I never wear gold jewellery- I’ve always much preferred silver. I think for this black outfit silver worked really well as silver stands out much more on top of black.

Silver hoop earring- third largest size on a pack of 5 from Primark – £1

Nevklace- this was a gift but you can find many similar online, it is a saint Christopher necklace, I will link a more expensive necklace here which is perfect as a more luxury gift and also a cheaper option from Argos (both are really nice for yourself and also for gifts)

Cheaper version (Argos- £10.99)
Luxury version (Danielle Draper- £115)
Both of these items are very similar to mine.

I absolutely love this top due to the design of the back. The front is quite tight with floaty sleeves but the back is open and ties with a simple black piece of thin material across the top which I think makes the top look much more classy and dresses the top up a lot. Underneath the top I wore a black bandeau from Boohoo but I think adding a pop of colour here such as a bright pink or even yellow bandeau could look super cool so I will definitely be purchasing some more.

Bandeau- Boohoo £5 (Bandeau link)

Rucksack- handed down from my Grandma

Shoes- bought off Depop second hand. I really love white platform shoes and you can buy them anywhere, simply type into eBay, Depop or your browser ‘white platform shoes’ and so many will come up.

Thanks so much for reading and hope you enjoyed another fashion related post. Again, sorry for the delay in posts I am gettinf round to writing as many as I can but it’s really hard to keep on top of blog posts whilst travelling I have found! Katy x
