The polka dot print has been huge this season, and it seems it is only getting bigger. My polka dot wishlist is huge as I love everything polka- it’s so cute and can so easily be dressed up or down. I am going to share with you my top five polka dot items, all of them being transitional pieces from Summer through to Autumn.
- Topshop polka dot high waisted skirt
I honestly wish I didn’t love this skirt as much as I do because I am going to have to buy the jacket to complete the co- ord. The skirt is only £29 which for Topshop I really don’t think is too bad. I love the fact the skirt is so high waisted as it makes any skirt so much more flattering.
(sorry about the size of this image there were literally no others!)
2. Nastygal give it all you dot jumpsuit
Red is such a transitional colour as it works so well in each season. Red is also one of my favourite colours to style and it literally suits any skin tone. I love the traditional red with white polka dot on this jumpsuit combines with the bandeau style neckline and modern wide leg pant, making it a staple wardrobe piece.
3. Pretty little thing burnt orange tie front blouse
Again, burnt orange is such an autumnal colour but the crop and tie detailing still make this piece perfect for the hot weather. As Pretty little thing have done here- low necklines styled with layered necklaces look so classy, especially as this tie front top is satin material. It is easy to dress up with some jeans and heels or down with some playful shorts on holiday.
4. Missguided red frill polka dot dress
The tiny polka dots on this Missguided dress add a playful look to this cute daytime piece. This dress is absolutely perfect for holidays, especially with the frilled bottom. At the same time as being cutesy it also shows off a little cleavage with a V neckline to give it again more of a classy feel.
5. Adidas polka dot bralette
Just incase one print wasn’t enough this Adidas bralette features three. I feel this is a love it or hate it piece as the prints combines are pretty garish. It features the classic white on black polka dot print on the front, the leopard print band around the bottom and the bright pink palm tree patteern on the back. To me this piece screams festival and would look great at any event. It can be purchased from Urban Outfitters for £28, so a bit on the pricey side for such a small amount of clothing but definitely worth it as I have nothing else like this in my wardrobe.
